Koopman's Baby Blanket
A piece for the first arrival of a friend and colleague. The yarn colour in this piece is fantastic and the pattern knitted up beautifully!

I altered this pattern just a little bit, first expanding it (really? 2’ by 3’… that’s barely a dishcloth!), and instead of garter, I went for a seed stitch border, which I think better matches the style of the pattern (it has a kind of old-school, retro feel to it).
This piece knitted up very fast (despite my slow progress), and once I got into the pattern, the repeats were easy to memorize, as the structure is very logical and easy to track from row to row.
